The Magic Drum Fund 2023
We are excited to announce the launch of our crowdfunding campaign to raise $10,000 for the continued development of the "Imani and the Magic Drum" animation project. This Kwanzaa story, set on an imaginary African Island, tells the story of Imani, a young woman who dreams of playing the drum, a tradition that is prohibited for women in her village. The animation project will bring the story to life in a new and exciting way, highlighting the seven principles of Kwanzaa: Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-Determination), Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith).
The Magic of Dreams starts inside your heart
The funds raised from this campaign will be used to:
1. Continue the development of the animation: This includes refining the script, storyboarding, and animating the characters and settings.
2. Studio recording of voiceover talent and music soundtrack: We plan to create a high-quality recording of the play's dialogue and music, which will enhance the audience's experience and allow the animation to reach a wider audience.
3. Marketing: We aim to reach a wider audience and share the magic of "Imani and the Magic Drum" with as many people as possible. This includes creating promotional materials and advertising the animation.
4. Complete our education curriculum: We believe that "Imani and the Magic Drum" has educational value, and we aim to develop a curriculum that can be used in schools to teach students about the themes and cultural elements presented in the animation, including the seven principles of Kwanzaa.
